I don't think Mbappe's camp did this on purpose. The offer was brought to them. The way I see it, if anybody orchestrated the whole thing it would be PSG.
Maybe PSG got tired of playing games with Madrid and they decided to involve their Arabian friends. In this deal PSG will be the biggest winner because they will receive a very high amount o money and offload Mbappe without paying him the agreed 66m.
Now if that doesn't work out, this will force Madrid's hand into signing Mbappe now. Either way, PSG gets rid of Mbappe while receiving a huge amount and not paying any 66m.
wait a minute guys. don't forget something about Real Madrid that they don't want to sign Mbappe at a high price because Madrid themselves prefer to get Mbappe for free. so that Madrid currently prefers to remain silent because they know that this is just like a trap so that Madrid will pay dearly.
but Real Madrid management was smarter in trying to let it go without increasing the bid because if the price was too high no team would want to buy Mbappe, it's just that Madrid had to compete with Bayern Munich, who are currently also hunting for this star player.
I'm willing to bet that Real Madrid will not be provoked to increase their offer and after that wait for next season to wait for Mbappe free status.
