Standing on your own decision as a gambler can be that easy to do when you're what I would describe as a one man squad gambler. A kind of gambler that doesn't have some group of fellow gambling friends but does his thing alone.
But it would be difficult to have your decision untouched when you are that type of gambler that has an exclusive clique of gamblers and this clique can influence your decision. You may try to hold on but there's a 50/50 chance of you or any gambler that finds himself with cliques to bow to pressure at some point. It is like a peer group influence.
It will come back to each person because our decisions should not be influenced by what others say or suggest. We must have a strong stance to not follow what other people say. But the reality is that often our decisions are based on what other people say and we immediately take their advice without thinking about how it will affect us or what we should do with the results we will get. And we often come back to them for advice on solving the problem because we tend not to think about solving it and instead expect advice from others.
