Real Madrid new chapter has begun by recruiting several midfielders who are considered to have the potential to replace the role of players who are entering the age of veterans and retiring. This is an anticipatory step for the long term if Modric and Kroos are no longer at their current level of play, a step that must be made.
Real Madrid will soon meet Barcelona who have just started their first preseason game against Arsenal. It is a very tight game and both teams have played well. Barcelona even though it is their first game after a while are showing really good performance being able to score two goals. There is still a lot of work to be done in their defense because Arsenal players are putting them a lot of pressure that they so far have not been able to handle well and had Arsenal's Saka not missed the penalty, Barcelona would have entered the second half trying to score an equalizer. Barcelona need to improve before they play Real Madrid.
Real Madrid prepared very well for regeneration and this has started to show from now on and also like last season, the combination of veteran players with young players is still quite effective and has kept Real Madrid playing.
While Barceloan is still trying to find his best game so far, many changes have been made by Xavi and so far I see that they are still quite positive and maybe this is just a pre-season game so we can't see the full strength of the team.
