Yep, 2 very good goals in their friendly and both were scored by new players in brilliant fashion.
There were some really good things that I saw in this match.
Firstly, the way some of the players are adapting to Madrid doesn't seem to have any problems and two friendlies with five goals is actually very good for their productivity and I was a bit worried about Benzema leaving but now that's possible to overcome.
Think positively that they had good debuts for Real Madrid that are important. For a coming season, let's wait for their performances but having good pre-season friendly matches is better than having bad ones, it's clear.

Those beautiful goals magnify their performances but they should not obsess with scoring such goals. What they need for a new season is good adaptation to the new team, play well, contribute to general operation of the team, better if they score goals or make assists. Beautiful goals rarely come so don't obsess and try to make it.
Hopefully this will not be a problem for Madrid because in this case I am sure that it is not only those who are worried about the state of their attack after leaving Benzema.
With the goals scored by Joselu and Jude in today's match, of course this will be a morale booster even though as you said we can only hope and wait for how they will do next season's matches.
There are still 2 more friendly matches for Madrid and in a few more days we will wait for El Clasico before finally ending the friendly match against Juventus.
Hopefully there will be something interesting again in the future, especially for El Clasico with a new era that is returning now. Last season's El Clasico for a friendly match was colored by several incidents between and I hope that something like this will happen again for the current season and consider this as an opening for them (Madrid and Barcelona) in navigating the new La Liga season.'

Even if your assumption is correct, Barcelona's defeat to Arsenal with a score of 5-3 will be an object of ridicule for some people who hate the Catalan team. I agree with your assumption that friendly matches are nothing more than test matches to give players a chance before the official competition starts.

After all, friendly matches are not matches that are so important for all teams, let alone to play as much as possible. It's hard to expect friendly matches to be very interesting because players tend to play it safe to avoid injury, but the result of the match will be judged positively by each coach of the two teams. Next match, Barcelona will face Real Madrid for a friendly match at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, United States.
It is true that this friendly match is nothing but a club promotion event and expands the fan base of each club, either Barcelona or Arsenal. I agree that the benchmark for preparing for next season in friendly matches is not quite right, meaning that friendly matches cannot be a full parameter to measure the quality of the club's squad I think.

Broadly speaking, this is just an event to give playing minutes to young players, by fielding several players from the main squad will attract the attention of the audience. The rest greet the fans and become a holiday venue for the players before the league officially rolls on.
As previously said, this is just trying to figure out how to scheme, formation, adapt players and of course the arena for young players to prove themselves to be eyed when the season starts.
This will not prove anything between who is weak and who is strong in a friendly match because something like this is like heating up the atmosphere so that when the new season opens the players are ready.
On the other hand, regardless of losing or winning I think it doesn't really matter except for some bettors Cheesy
