If I want to talk about El Clasico. El Clásico will be great, Barcelona team is full strength now. Also, Real Madrid will focus on La Liga from now on. So the matches between these two teams will be very competitive.
It's still valid to say El Clasico? I don't feel hype because it's only Kroos and Modric are the old generations who still playing until now, while the rest already retired or joined other club. Real Madrid and Barcelona are obviously the biggest clubs in La Liga, but it's only that, there's no more pride to make sure not lose when they meet each other.
I feel next season will be an easy win for Barcelona.
So in the end, Madrid and Barcelona are still rivals and they will always compete. Not sure 100% whether it is certain that Barcelona will have the La Liga trophy next season, because the pre-season is not over yet. Barcelona does have an ideal squad, but even Madrid cannot be underestimated right now, with the reshuffling of players showing positive results this should be considered a big threat to Barcelona. And it's one thing if Madrid quietly closes the transfer market this summer with the arrival of Mbappe, then Barcelona fans will be even hotter.
I wanna say without Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo the El Clásico does not actually feel like El Clásico. To create teams playing in the La Liga competing against each other at the best of level for both of them. We left the best La Liga days behind when it was Messi, Neymar, Suarez versus Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale. That was the best El Clásico. After that everyone left Barcelona one by one. Maybe I am just getting old. I understand that with time everything is going to change. Maybe the older generation like me is just not ready for the change. It genuinely feels like the change happened really quickly.
La Liga and El Clásico will always be legendary. But we won’t get the La Liga matches El Clásico from 2012-2016 back.
