In my opinion, Ten Hag has provided something quite positive. Even though it couldn't be said to be perfect, but what Ten Hag did could bring Man United to good progress. It is indeed quite difficult to shift Man City's dominance in the Premier League but that doesn't mean that Man United doesn't have the chance to make it happen. If Man United can get a world-class striker, I think they will make good achievements this season.
I also want to say Man United is not perfect with the existing squad. I will blame Ten Hag if this season they fail to win a trophy because he doesn't have a striker who is hungry for goals. Because all the other teams have started the season by building the perfect squad, of course, Man United, as you said, will find it difficult if they want to compete because other teams have very lethal attackers.
because we all know Man United needs a striker, wasting money at Mason Mount when Man United's budget is limited is crazy. Since Ronaldo's departure, Man United knew they needed a striker. We can see Liverpool has four killers in the box, Arsenal has at least three, and man City has two. Newcastle has at least three, while Man United only has one, namely Rashford, who is not sure he can reproduce last season's performance. Therefore, if Man United wants to compete with Man City, they have to buy a striker like Hojlund or Kane.
With the signature of a striker, Erik Ten Hag would be pleased, personally I'm not convinced we have enough special players to propel the plans of the coach especially into winning the the Premier League. Not to have high expectations but this is the season to be hopeful and hopes Manchester United can achieve its big target by winning the Premier League. Marcus Rashford, Antonio Martial and also Garnacho would all be useful before the incoming Danish player fits in perfectly.
This isn't about replacing Cristiano Ronaldo and shit, it's about maintaining balance and getting the club back to glory days. Excited we have a coach as a fan and head of the club who has same dreams as the fans.
Seeing Kylain Mbappe moving to Liverpool might be possible, sitting on the bench for a full season might do him harm. It'll be best to move ahead to Liverpool if can come to agreement with Mbappe for a season long loan.
