Recently, I came up with the idea that addicted people need to watch videos from interviews with the same addicted people as they are more often. I saw a couple of these videos, where people talk about how they started playing (spontaneously) and how they sank to the bottom. It's really scary. They also tell how they live now, mostly with huge debts that they are trying to pay off.
In these videos they would recognize themselves, which could prevent them from playing out of control.

The think is whether the video would have an effect to addicted people.  It may be effective to those who are just starting up with gambling and those who still have control over their sanity but I doubt that the majority of gambling addicts will reflect on their actions especially when they are in a situation where denial of being a gambling addict is the strongest.  Those who are just starting to get addicted may get an ideao and may get afraid and be saved by watching the effect of gambling addiction, but I really doubt about its effect to a person who is deeply addicted to gambling.
