PSG and Liverpool are said to be in talks for Mbappe to play the last year of his contract at Liverpool on loan. But I do not understand how they can interest him in such an option. Liverpool isn't even in the Champions League. As we saw with the rejected proposal from the Saudis, Mbappe is no longer simply lured with money.
It is not as if Mbappe is not lured by money, of course money plays an important role in how footballers make decisions regarding their career. Mbappe was never going to move to Saudi Arabia because he is very young and one of the best players in the world, he is also already one of the highest paid footballers in the world in PSG and he also earns a huge amount in loyalty bonuses.
Liverpool can't even afford to pay Mbappe's wages for one year, thus there is no chance in hell that he is going to Anfield, Mbappe is either staying in PSG or moving to Real Madrid, i don't think there are any other feasible options.
Salary is not the problem - after all, PSG would probably be able to pay part of Mbappe's salary (just like they are willing to pay part of Neymar's salary if he moves to another club - they want to get rid of him so badly). The problem is different - how do you lure Mbappe to Liverpool without the Champions League + the high probability that being in Liverpool Mbappe will lose a face-to-face duel to Haaland? Mbappe is no fool and would never take such a bad deal.
