After Jordan Henderson decide to leave Liverpool and moved to Al Ettifaq currently there was a vacant position for Liverpool captain then it make Klopp have to decide who will be the next captain immediately and today it has been decided that their defender player Virgil van Dijk officially will be the next Liverpool captain and this is not a surprising decision by Klopp because last season van Dijk has been several times playing as a captain and i think this is right decision by Klopp because since arrived from Southampton van Dijk has important role for Liverpool squad and for the second captain Klopp has been choose Trent Alexander-Arnold
The choice of Virgil Van Dijk to replace the captaincy after being left by Jordan Henderson does not seem to have caused controversy like that experienced by Bruno Fernandez at Manchester United whose leadership is doubted by football observers. Van Dijk proved himself to be a fairly respected player there apart from several other Liverpool players who were fairly senior there like their main goalkeeper Alison Becker. Van Dijk fits the captain's position because in the Dutch national team, he also plays the same role. Trent Arnold will become the main captain when Van Dijk leaves the club or when he retires from football.
I hope that after the departure of the captain, Liverpool will not face difficulties again, as it was when Mane left the club... At the end of last season Liverpool started to show good results, how they have again drastic changes in the team... Would really hate to see them lose their playing form again...
Jurgen Klopp understands the possibility, so reportedly he is still looking for another midfielder to replace the position left by Henderson and also Fabinho, when the season was still rolling Liverpool were rumored to be strengthening their midfield by buying at least 3-4 players to cover the weaknesses that occurred last season so they failed to play in Champions League, and Klopp believes that is their weakness and strengthening the midfield is the answer.
