I saw some video bad finishing by Rasmus Hojlund while with Atalanta. Actually as a striker 32 times played and 9 goals seems like a not very good statistic.
His bad statistics together with the expensive cost paid by Manchester United make this transfer is funny and likely stupid for Manchester United. They look to be panic buying again and accepted the expensive price which is overpaid in my opinion.
But it looks like Ten Hag has another view. Perhaps his young age is enough to make Ten Hag confident that he can change the bad views of football observers.
He is young and he can improve his finishing skills but if you buy a player with expensive price, the player should be already good enough. I feel painful for Manchester United as with such statistics, they can use Martial with not big difference between two players. Paying very high price and hoping that the player will improve himself is ridiculous.
Many people also hope that Rasmus Hojlund can be Haaland's competitor and be the solution to the attacker's problems.
Is it an unrealistic hope from Manchester United, Ten Hag and their fans?
Very big differences between two players even before Haaland joining Manchester City and breaking records in Premier League. Haaland was already very goal productive in Salzburg and Dortmund, not like Hojlund.
At the moment Ten Hag has several options so Rashford probably won't be exhausted and injured a lot.
They need a good striker to replace Rashford when needed or to help Rashford getting chances to play as a winger at swings where he is most dangerous.
