Usually people who have addictions will be more open to people who have addictions too. It's like an environment, because maybe they are too embarrassed to tell people who don't gamble at all. However, they feel that if people who have the same addiction they also have the same problem. In fact, it will not solve the problem at all or even they will be even crazier because they have friends who if they are destroyed they will be destroyed together.
You have to be selective in trusting someone to explain personal problems to the right people, not looking for solutions to people who have the same addiction because they also have the same problem and cannot escape gambling addiction. We must openly explain our problems to family, relatives or advisers and even religious leaders, anyone who is entrusted with keeping personal secrets, I think we don't need to be ashamed if it is related to gambling addiction cases because it is not an act that harms other people and they will definitely help you to therapy to prevent gambling addiction. However, for complete recovery to avoid gambling addiction, your first step must be consistent to improve your life for the better and be free from gambling addiction.

Well I understand and indeed it is better and can be one of the best solutions in this problem, because as you said and I have said if we tell someone who has the same problem it can be more devastating in the end, meaning not discussing to find solutions but instead deepening in gambling, this is very possible. Sometimes it takes courage to be able to open up to the family about this problem, and most of them find it difficult to open up to their families because they know this addiction is a very bad addiction in the eyes of the public, so they have their own worries if they have to open up to their families, but if the family can discuss well and focus on finding solutions I think this is better and they will also have a chance to find a bright spot. So the point is that being more open to your own family will be better about this problem, although sometimes there must be shame felt but believe me in the future your condition will be better, because their parents will know better what is best for their children.
