Maguire, yes, but Sancho cannot be called a failure and this season will be the season to decide whether he will fail or not based on my version because ever since Sancho landed at Old Trafford from Dourtmund, Manchester United's game has been in chaos.
Hojlund's statistics last season with Atalanta were good. He has a good percentage of dribbles, shots on target, accurate passes even though in the 2022/23 season Atalanta was only able to finish fifth in the Serie A standings.
His young age and that much price will be of particular concern so it is not wrong if many people will give an assessment of whether a Hojlund is suitable to be purchased at a price of 75 million euros.
It is normal for a club to have high expectations after spending huge amount of money to sign a player, the fans and the club expects you to live up to the price tag you were purchased for, Hojlund will not be an exception to this trend. Which ever role Erik Ten Hag plays him he is expected to be at his best.
Liverpool pre-season matches was not very encouraging at all, partly I will attribute their lacklustre performance in those matches to lack of an experience defensive midfielder in the team the duo of Henderson and Fabinho who used to play those role had left the club to Saudi Arabian league consequently Liverpool would really struggle in that position, though McAllister had been signed to play that role is he going to deliver? time will tell when the league start and from their last match against Bayern Munich it looks like McAllister is injured having limped off when he was substituted either of Fabinho or Henderson should have been retained by Kloop unfortunately they were all sold out.
In my opinion, preseasons don’t hold much water on the result of the main competition. A team can lose all their friendly games and still do better in the season. Klopp’s men are working on strengthening their team this summer after a disappointing season last session, they have made few additions to the squad. Let’s hope Mc Allister leaving the pitch is nothing serious and he will be back on the pitch in one or longest two weeks time if not it would not spell good for Klopp.
