I doubt they are going to reply anything in bitcointalk, and I don't think they are hiring new developers, but easiest place to get noticed by them is probably electrum github page.Electrum mobile wallet for Android was never good enough for me, so I think you would need to make iOS app from scratch if you want other people to use it.
Meanwhile you can check out open source Unstoppable wallet for iOS.

Electrum developers are more active on Github than on the Bitcointalk forum. Try to create a topic and submit it here: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/pulls.Unstoppable Wallet has Blockchain settings that can be more private by selecting the From Blockchain option, although the API option is recommended. However, the impact is that when opening the wallet, it takes longer for the synchronization process.
