When La Liga starts, maybe we will see the real performance of Real Madrid, at this time I agree that Ancelotti in friendly matches only tests the feasibility of players and try various experiments. As usual, coaches often do it to try different strategies. Actually you are right, Real Madrid signed Joselu only as a replacement option but if Ancelotti used a 4-3-3 formation maybe Joselu could have played as a centre-forward.
I would prefer to see ancelotti used 3-4-4 scheme instead of another scheme. Joselu needs more time to adapt with its new teammates. It seems like that madrid is still counting on vini in scoring against its opponent. Real madrid can use the opening match as a way to test its performance. There will still be enough time for real madrid to buy the new player before the close of transfer season. Ancelotti shall not force the club to use the current squad if the performance will still be under performance till the opening match of la liga.
Madrid was getting worst result in the pre season match. It will be ashame if the club keeps this performance till the start of the new season. Attacking and defensive lines shall become the main concerns by ancelotti.
Perez already confirmed joselu as the last transfer from madrid but he shall aware if the reality may force madrid to buy more striker and defender.

How do you compare Real Madrid and Barcelona? Real Madrid is a strong team but they currently lack a striker. On the other hand, the Barcelona team I think Xavi is brilliantly organized. After watching the El Clasico, I understood that the Real Madrid team must work brilliantly in finishing.
If we look at the lack of a goal-hungry striker like Karim Benzema, who is also known for his ability to create opportunities for others, it is true that Real Madrid has been falling behind in terms of having a reliable goal-scorer. The team will miss his innovative attacking style. On the other hand, Xavi appears to have Barcelona's players working together effectively. Oshimen, Lautaro Martinez, or Mbappe are three forwards Madrid might look at signing to bolster their offensive threat and offer some element of surprise up front. As was seen in the El Clasico, Madrid's methods were easily predicted and stopped by Barcelona due to the lack of a varied variety of attacking options on the part of Madrid.
