Arsenal are a tough competitor in the Premier League next season and I admit that. But anyway I'm not going to lie about wanting that Manchester City will still remain the favorites in the Premier League next season. Arsenal can certainly threaten at any time, but I hope Manchester City doesn't make too many mistakes in their quest to win 4 titles in 4 consecutive seasons.
Arsenal got some good results from summer pre-season matches that are good signals of their improvements and readiness to start a new season with more ambitious targets. To win titles, they will have to beat many competitors, not only Manchester City. Other big clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United will not let Premier League race becomes a dual race between Arsenal and Manchester City.
Simply because Manchester City won a treble title last season, will it make them repeat the same by next season by making it 4 titles instead to prove their supremacy over all the league match they are involved in? Manchester City is undoubtedly a talented football team, but we shouldn't assume that just because they shocked the world by winning a treble trophy, all the league titles are now theirs. Has Manchester United, who won the treble trophies years ago, done it again? Having said that, I don't believe Manchester City will have another season as successful as the previous one in terms of winning a treble trophy in a season.
If since 1999 season, only one more club can be a treble winner after Manchester United, it is very impossible for Manchester City to repeat it in a coming season. They can either win Premier League or Champions League or FA Cup but winning treble titles again is very unrealistic.
Especially if we know a challenging fact that in history of Champions League, only Real Madrid successfully protected their Champions League titles and they did it two times. Other clubs failed to defend their titles and Manchester City will be a second club can do it if they win Champions League in a new season.
