Arsenal are a tough competitor in the Premier League next season and I admit that. But anyway I'm not going to lie about wanting that Manchester City will still remain the favorites in the Premier League next season. Arsenal can certainly threaten at any time, but I hope Manchester City doesn't make too many mistakes in their quest to win 4 titles in 4 consecutive seasons.
Simply because Manchester City won a treble title last season, will it make them repeat the same by next season by making it 4 titles instead to prove their supremacy over all the league match they are involved in? Manchester City is undoubtedly a talented football team, but we shouldn't assume that just because they shocked the world by winning a treble trophy, all the league titles are now theirs. Has Manchester United, who won the treble trophies years ago, done it again? Having said that, I don't believe Manchester City will have another season as successful as the previous one in terms of winning a treble trophy in a season.
It's always surprises me when people think the coming season will be the same as last season for Manchester City. They shouldn't forget that there are other tough clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and other teams that will also participate in the competition. However, there are teams that did more than Manchester City did last season in years past, but as the table turned, it was a bad season for them when the next season arrived. However, I believe Manchester City is a great team; no one can argue with that, but that doesn't guarantee that they will do the same thing they did last season.
However, there are other teams that will compete with them, and these teams also want the same trophy as Manchester City, so for this reason, I think we should stop giving Manchester City the full guarantee that they will do more or the same as they did last season, given that they are not the only ones fighting for the trophy; other teams also do. Arsenal will also be tough this coming season. Why did I say that? Because I think they realize their mistake from last season, so they will do all they can to see them succeed in the following season.
Manchester City's performance in the UEFA Champions League competition last season was very impressive. They destroyed every opponent that came their way in the process and that's why many people thinks it'll be difficult to stop them in next season's campaign.
If not for Real Madrid who won the the competition in 3 consecutive seasons from 2015/16 to 2017/18, the competition hasn't been won by the same club since AC Milan won it on two consecutive seasons in 1989 and 1990. Manchester though have the squad to match those records but I think it'll be very difficult for them to do it
