It's always surprises me when people think the coming season will be the same as last season for Manchester City. They shouldn't forget that there are other tough clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and other teams that will also participate in the competition. However, there are teams that did more than Manchester City did last season in years past, but as the table turned, it was a bad season for them when the next season arrived. However, I believe Manchester City is a great team; no one can argue with that, but that doesn't guarantee that they will do the same thing they did last season.
However, there are other teams that will compete with them, and these teams also want the same trophy as Manchester City, so for this reason, I think we should stop giving Manchester City the full guarantee that they will do more or the same as they did last season, given that they are not the only ones fighting for the trophy; other teams also do. Arsenal will also be tough this coming season. Why did I say that? Because I think they realize their mistake from last season, so they will do all they can to see them succeed in the following season.
I feel like people consider that because every single year people expect some team to do better, and every year City ends up getting the win. Liverpool fought with them for many years and they barely got one win out of it all during pandemic period. This is why I believe that City will win again, no matter who they have playing for them.
I am sure that they could sell all their players, make 1+ billion dollars from roster valuation, and then spend that 1 billion dollars on another roster, and still build a great club without hesitation that could win the title. It's not about who became better and which team may have a chance, City just doesn't give up, they end up getting the title one way or another for sure.
