Arsenal's players were in disarray last season but at the end of this season they have had enough time to sort out their players and hopefully Arsenal have sorted out their players. Against Arsenal, Manchester City will be ahead in statistics but anything can happen in terms of performance on the field. Manchester City's performance was not at all satisfactory in the last warm-up match against Atletico Madrid, in which Manchester City lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid. Arsenal are slightly stronger team compared to Atletico Madrid so Arsenal will definitely try to do well against Manchester City. Manchester City will be favorites and title favorites in the FA Community Shield final but will need to plan hard and come up against Chanel.
Arsenal lacked sustainable squad depth which cost them the title last season against reigning champions Manchester City. Arteta has discovered his lapses and is putting lots of efforts to change the situation by signing good and experienced players to boost the squad’s performance and compete for trophies in the coming season.
I have noticed how Guardiola tries to maintain the gap between him and his ex assistant coaches like Mikel Arteta and Vincent kompany. This season we will experience an even more interesting rivalry between this three in the EPl as Burnely have moved up to the EPL this season. I believe Guardiola is still superior to both managers.
