unfortunately there are still many who repeat that mistake even though they have experienced this mistake in the past because it is true what you say that all of that will be defeated by greed. although a gambler who has started to learn from experience to improve in the future when one day gets a winning streak will change his mindset and ignore the lesson and repeat his mistakes even more to continue betting.
as bettors, we must always be smart about learning how gambling works to continue to think positively, not worrying too much about big wins.
Learning from our mistakes is not as easy as some might think, there is a reason we make those mistakes to begin with, and unless we do some heavy introspection about why this is the case then when presented with the opportunity we will make the same mistakes all over again, this is why we see a person suffering an awful hangover and swearing they will never drink again and then a week later we see them making that promise again, and the higher the frequency of this pattern then it becomes less likely for anyone to ever change and correct those mistakes.
