You're right, @danadc. Balancing optimism with realism is crucial when addressing gambling addiction. Encouraging responsible play and setting limits can help prevent excessive losses and potential harm. It's important to approach individuals who are heavily involved in gambling with sensitivity and provide support to help them make healthier choices.
All sounds fantastic to read and to implement but in the process of implementation, you will understand a certain set of gambling addict that are almost incurable. It is easy to attend to a gambling addict who has agreed that they are addicted and looking for a way out.
But if you encounter a gambling addict who does not admit that they are addicted, it will be very difficult to administer to that kind of person and that is the set of people we see in the economy. They will never agree that they are addicted until it gets to the extreme where it is hundred percent obvious even to the blind.

On point, it's easy to address someone who are willing to take the help and will help themselves to cure whatever type of addiction they already have inside, they are willing to step away and will do everything to work on with what they are suffering, but with someone who still in denial of addiction, whatever help you provide they will just ignore it and will continue to whatever the desire they wanted to do.

If the person already lose that control, the next thing you'll hear from them is all those regrets that they have after suffering with huge losses, maybe that's also the quickest way that they will realize that there's already something with how they are handling this addiction and a possibility that they might accept the help.
