So far Leipzig has pocketed a total of 220 million euros from the sale of its star players to English Premier League clubs. We know that there was Nkunku who joined Chelsea, then Dominik Szoboszlai who joined Liverpool and finally there was the most expensive defender in history who joined Manchester City, namely Josko Gvardiol. With that amount of money it can be said that Leipzing's finances are very good so far and I think they are like Dortmund who have managed to sell their talented players. I'm still curious whether in the next season they will succeed in selling their talented players at high prices again and seeing great interest coming from English clubs, of course it will be a very big profit field.
I am expecting them to bring in really good players with this amount of money that they have right now. They don’t even have to spend all the money. They can just bring in young players who are showing potential and nurture them properly to become a really good player in the future. It is not a problem for me as long as they invest the money back in the team.
Obviously everything is business. So they should spend money to bring in better players to have better success. But selling players like Dortmund, just to have a good amount of money is never going to be good for a club in the long run. I hope they are not following the same tactics.
