Honestly I was expecting Manchester City to win this Community Shield title one way or another. I waited for a good competition at the beginning of the season of course. Because this was the first official game for both teams so I didn't expect so many goals. We were about to find out which side was readier than the other one.
Palmer's goal was really lovely and I thought the game was going to end by 1-0. But it was unbelievable that there was a stoppage time of more than 10 minutes and Trossard scored the equalizer in the last moments. This was the turning point for Arsenal as they won by 4-1 on penalties.
Like you before the start of the match I expected Manchester City to win this match but at the very end of the game Manchester City's luck did not help as they came very close to winning this match and lost.
When Manchester City scored against Arsenal in the 77th minute, I thought it might be a 1-0 game, but at the very end of extra time, the equation was thrown into disarray. L. Trossard's superb goal earns Arsenal a draw against Manchester City. Neither team managed to score against each other again after a draw against Manchester City.
The result of the match was later decided by penalties where Manchester City's players and goalkeeper proved themselves to be incompetent as Manchester City only managed to score one of the first four penalty shots against Manchester City which was a shame for Manchester City.
I even celebrated earlier when the game had entered the 90th minute. Well, I was sure that Manchester City would be the winner of this match. But I didn't expect that in the minute of added time a miracle had come for Arsenal through a goal scored by L. Trossard in the 90+11th minute which made the match go to a penalty shootout. Maybe you also feel the extraordinary tension during the penalty shootout. But yeah, I'm really disappointed because in the penalty shootout it turned out that the Manchester City players couldn't do it optimally. But I can say that in this fight it was absolutely incredible. Both teams I think have a level that is almost equal throughout the game. And to be honest, I was surprised that Arsenal in this match could match the level of Manchester City's game. Looks like the Premier League this season is really going to be amazing. I can't wait to start the season again in the Premier League.
