You're right, maybe just few members of the forum may not consider merits for some reasons maybe they are spammers or not interested in making a quality post than them chasing after bounties,  but ever since the introduction of the merits system, it has helped in a lot ways and people are not going to just remain on the forum without contributing well and received the same benefits with those giving their best.
