i am surprised by Arsenal, they appeared very extraordinary in the community shield final yesterday, they succeeded in putting good pressure on Mancity but when they met several teams their appearance was quite bad (just look at the time against Man Utd in the last friendly match) Arsenal have the ambition to become champions on The next EPL which will start soon, i have a prediction they will stop in the top three until the end of the season.
I was actually surprised by the mental development of Arsenal players. Even though Arsenal didn't win from the start, that's fine, but the important thing is that Arsenal can keep up with Man City in open play. Haaland was also made unable to do anything in the first half. If only Arsenal had a sharp striker like Haaland, they would have won 2-0. In the second half, KDB and Phil Foden brought Arsenal down, but what I liked was that Arsenal's mentality remained stable and continued to press until Trossard scored in the last minutes and at the penalty shoot-out, Arsenal's mentality was still good. I like Arsenal's mental changes this season because of the mental factors that made Arsenal fail to win the EPL last season.
It's true, Man City is out of luck and Pep Guardiola looks less ambitious to win the Community Shield trophy. Arsenal on the other hand, really need this trophy, because this year they have not won any championship trophies. The game that ended in a penalty shoot-out cannot be taken as a measure of quality, I think it would be better to think of it as luck.
Appreciation should be given to Arteta squad, which is able to offset the pressure from Man City. Hopefully they can break Man City dominance next season, with the squad's current mentality.
What a fighting spirit from Arsenal. I see that the Community Shield trophy is not just winning the warm-up event, but beating a team like Man city (which last season was the best team in various competitions) is a bigger value, especially since Arsenal have lost the most against Man city. I think it's positive for Arsenal to start this season with a lot of confidence. Hopefully this year's championship ambition will be achieved and consistent until the end of the season. Being able to win the EPL is just an important bonus every week Arsenal play well and entertain.
