Well there are several, but none that I know of that actually store and record your drivers license and picture of your face? I may be wrong...
In Canada we merely show our ID to buy liquor and smokes, no databases yet.
A hypothetical situation that should be considered...
Your at a border crossing or get pulled over for a speeding ticket and are now facing additional scrutiny and possible searches due to purchases you made. This database of "drug users" provides an additional weapon to those keeping tabs on us.
On another note it appears the new technology is not going over well with shareholders and may be also infringing on a patent. Stock dropped by 20% today alone.

They aren't just going to have a vending machine dispensing pot that anyone who can't be age-verified can use... that's just common sense. How else could they verify age? They only other way would be to apply for some kind of access card that would allow you to use the machine, but they are still going to have to verify your age somehow, most likely through picture ID. Makes sense to me... you're best bet is going into a dispensary and just showing your ID if you don't want it in some database.
