since Harry Kane is not included in the squad it might mean that a move is very imminent to Bayern Munich and Daniel levy could finally accept an offer from him.
Im not going to conclude that Tottenham won't regret his departure if a moves comes through with the current lead against barca because this is just a pre-season match and they're not going to depend on a midfielder the whole season for goals and against top EPL teams they might not stand a chance having Richarlison in that position, if a move is becoming close they definitely have to start looking for a good replacement that would come close to getting the goals like kane if the manager wants to have a good season with his new team.
The resting or Harry doesn’t necessarily mean that the move to Bayern is close but probably because they just don’t want to use him with this state of mind. There clubs and coaches that usually isolate players under transfer saga from there team and integrate them when the air clears example could be case of Louis Van Gaal with De Gea in 2016, maybe that’s what Tottenham are doing right now.
Should Harry Kane leave though, it will be hard to replace him immediately because I don’t see any prolific striker of his class available in the market that Tottenham could sign. What they will do is to rebuild a new team around the players they have and hope it works.
This is an unforeseeable event that can happen to any team, which is why most coaches prefer not to use all of their best players in preseason matches to avoid injuring more than one of them during play. This is an important reason why teams should have more than one player for each position, and substitutes should be able to fill the hole left by an injured player.
This is certainly a huge blow to Chelsea, Nkunku will have played a significant role in this new Chelsea squad as the preseason shows how much of a talent he is. But shit happens. Nonetheless I wasn’t too shocked reading this news because the player in question has always be battling with injury woes before coming to Chelsea. He spent the junk of last season sidelined due to injury for both club and country, having missed the World Cup with France. Chelsea with the midfield lacking proper depth are definitely going to go all out for more midfielders and hope Nkunku returns fine and on time
