Now that Chelsea only has Nicolas Jackson for a pure striker position next season, Christopher Nkunku will definitely lose half of his matches for the 2023-2024 season. This fact clearly makes Mauricio Pochettino dizzy thinking about new players, because the transfer window is running low.

It is possible that Chelsea will complete the purchase of Brazilian wonderkid David Washington. It is possible that they will register him for next season and will not loan him out first because the EPL will start this weekend.
The injury of Jackson is a horrible news for Chelsea coach and changed all of his initial plans for Chelsea in the season which will start in coming several days. Anyway, both Jackson and Nkuku are not best strikers recent years and Chelsea likely bought Tier2 strikers. I think they don't have good transfer strategy so far which is continuing with a new target for transfer, Washington.

Perhaps, Chelsea have to choose imperfect strikers who are available for sale on transfer market because nowadays, it is not popularly seen strikers like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Drogba, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewandowski in the last 15 to 20 years. The global football is witnessing a drought in talented strikers after hardly growing up good central defenders.

Mauricio Pochettino must move quickly to overcome this before the transfer window closes because the front line is a very important line for Chelsea to pay attention to, considering that Chelsea performed poorly last season. So Chelsea really needs a comeback next season by recruiting the best players for all positions.
The market does not provide abundant choices for Pochettino and sport director of Chelsea. They have to surely hurry up before a new season starts as they need time for new players to train and adapt to a new coach, new team to contribute good for the team. If they don't give new players enough time, new players and a whole team will be affected.
