Well, if he does not do very well in West Ham, and if he actually considers reducing his salary, I think there are a lot of teams which will happily take him in the team and will also give him the captaincy. But will he accept a lower amount of salary?
Anyway, let’s not talk about that right now. He is going into a new club and I hope that is going to make things better for him and he will also be able to redeem himself. I know that for a lot of people, it actually seems laughable. A lot of people are going to say that Harry Maguire Redeeming himself is genuinely going to be crazy to watch. But he was a good player. Let’s see if he can flip the switch and perform better once again.
I don't want to really talk about the Maguire issue and I'm just happy for Manchester United for identifying and solving one of the club's problem. Maguire is a skipper and many younger players look up to him and when he goes on the pitch he makes silly mistakes that cause the team valuable points. Someone said that the reason for Maguire's struggles at the theater of dreams is due to the United's style of play. I don't really support this argument because he has played with 3 different managers at United and it still same result.
Concerning his salary, I don't think he would be earning the same salary or more than what he was getting at United based on his poor performance. Though, Manchester United is still going to reward him £10M for leaving this summer window as promised earlier.
