...but personally, I think it's great if it reduces time-wasting and simulation. I would prefer if teams who did it were punished by refs to give that extra time only if the opponent needs it (and if the team guilty is losing, they blow regular).
It helps a lot with time wastage as the average time the ball was in play for EPL games last season was about 50 minutes (approximately), which in my opinion called for a drastic measure which the FA delivered on.
How I expect it should work is over the course of the season when clubs realize they do not get let off for wasting time we get more fluid games with minimal stoppage except for injuries. This will naturally bring down the minutes added on averagely.
Not the best matchday for me but that is expected through out the course of the season.
