Really feeling sad for the future of Indian team. Without Rohit, Virat and Jadeja, the team is nothing. Really very disappointing performance by team India in yesterday’s last match against WI. WI who didn’t even qualified for the last year’s T20 world cup, have now defeated one of the strong T20 team. I don’t know whose fault it is, but Pandya really did weak captaincy. I still can’t understand why BCCI considering these senior players as unfit? They are hardly 34 in age, they can easily play for next 2 years. Under them these youngsters will gain experience and knowledge and this only can improve their gameplay. Let’s hope the best for team India is Asia Cup.
When I saw the last match performance by Indian team I was thinking that now India team is trying well to come up and now performance is quite better. But they gave only the target of 166 runs. They know that West Indies made 178 runs in the last match so they can easily chase this target. If India go above 200 runs than it was difficult target for West Indies. By the way now series end and West Indies won with 3-2.
The main weakness of this Indian squad is the erratic performance of their openers. In the first two matches, we did not see a good performance from India's opening pair. India's opening pair played very well in the third and fourth matches. Even in the fourth match, the two Indian openers made a pair of 165 runs. But in the last match again we saw the poor performance of India's opening pair. Opener Jaiswal scored 5 runs and Gill returned to the fold with 9 runs.
Even though Suryakumar and Tilak played somewhat well, the middle order players could not maintain the consistency. And so India's innings stopped at just 165 runs. 165 runs on this pitch was not enough to win. At the same time the performance of Indian bowlers was not good. Opener Brandon King was unbeaten on 85 runs. West Indies team got a very easy win.
