It depends on the individual type of investment because monitoring your portfolio isn't necessarily for someone who is on the race of HODL, basically if your goal is a long-term investment as that would only put you under pressure checking your portfolio when the price is down, and may result in you taking wrong decisions which leads to what we call panic selling.
