In my opinion, the first taste of victory does not cause gambling addiction and only provokes a novice to further study gambling, but when behind your back will be enough wins and losses and you get used to the production of dopamine during gambling and instead of meeting with friends you will give preference to the casino, that's when you will definitely have a gambling addiction. In my opinion it is not gambling addiction that is scary, but irresponsibility of a gambler.
A novice won't start gambling without understanding how it works. An initial win would further cement his belief that gambling can be a source of income. As things progress and loss start accumulating that novice would try to gamble more in order to cover the loss. This is where they would make the mistake of using the money that they cannot afford to lose. Then they would try to borrow money from friends and family. If they win big they are able to repay the borrowed amount if not then they would find others to borrow and ultimately fall into the gambling debt trap. Reckless gambling is nothing but getting overconfident with the ability to make a win.
