Paul Merson has changed his mind about Chelsea and Liverpool in his Premier League top four predictions after just ONE game. The former Arsenal playmaker had tipped Liverpool to secure a place in the Champions League at the end of the season. However, after watching the Reds in action in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea, and seeing the Blues get the better of Liverpool in the race for Moises Caicedo, he believes that Mauricio Pochettino will lead Chelsea to the top four instead.

Chelsea may have more chance to be qualified for UCL next season compared with liverpool. I saw some news reported that if salah has been linked to the ittihad, and he was being so mad caused by kloop was deciding to replace him during the game against chelsea. It's also breaking his record as someone who was always making the goal during the first week of EPL. Chelsea will be having a significant impact as there have been some skilled players coming to the club.
Chelsea may able to compete with arsenal and manchester city. The club just needs to keep build its chemistry. Chelsea is having so many young players that need more time to play. I hope pochettino will able to finish in the top 4.
I don't think with Chelsea easily qualifying to Champion League next season by finish on top fourth standings placed, there are many competitive team in this season after first match opening the top fourth standing teams last season success win. Looks not change with standings position for this season due Newcastle United still compete teams and Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United have consistent performance. Chelsea start first opening match not really impressive after get draw against Liverpool.
I doubt with Chelsea opportunity managed top fourth standings place in this season although have many left schedule without participants in UEFA Champion League or Europe League. Have bigger chance for Liverpool back to Champion League spot standings next season than Chelsea still need adapt with several news players.
