I wasn’t impressed by Manchester City's performance, they performed poorly against Sevilla. Manchester City was just lucky to beat Sevilla in the match, Sevilla had lots of opportunities. I don’t really know why Manchester City didn’t perform well in the match, maybe it’s because of De Bruyne's injury. I think Pep Guardiola has to look for a replacement for De Bruyne because he will be going for surgery and he won’t be coming back soon. Let’s see how Manchester City will perform against Newcastle in their next match. I know it won’t really be easy for Manchester City.
Manchester City's performance against Sevilla was not a bad one in my opinion because they were able to defeat Sevilla at the end of the game. Without a doubt, the performance we witnessed there was not up to Manchester City's standards, but you can't expect more while Kevin De Bruyne is out. The work of KDB was missing in that game, as seen by Sevilla's ability to hold them off for so long and force the game to go to penalties. KDB will be sorely missed in that midfield; until he returns, Manchester City will be vulnerable in the midfield and will always struggle.
It won't be easy for Guardiola's men to win this match. They are still the favorites, so that's obvious. But Newcastel recent improvement has made things more difficult. Especially if we look at Newcastle's first match which feasted on goals against Aston Vila.
If Mamchester City are not careful enough with Newcastle, then believe me they will be humiliated at their own base, at Etihafd.
