I quite enjoyed the Al-Ittihad match against Al-Taee but indeed Al-Ittihad had several chances but quite a few were wasted. We can see that Al-Ittihad produced 8 shots on target and they were only able to penetrate through two goals. Karim Benzema actually also had a chance but failed to convert it into a goal and thanks to two goals from senior players at Al-Ittihad they were able to score full points at home. I think Karim Benzema sometimes just needs the right flow of the ball from the other players because he is known for his very sharp finishing even for a 35 year old player.
I see Al Ittihad starting this season with more impressive results when compared to Al Nassr. In this match, Al ittihad managed to win which led Benzema and friends to maintain victory in their last two matches. Apart from that, benzema, who is still having trouble scoring goals, is a big question mark because he was so active in scoring goals when he was still with real madrid. Whether he will start this season with difficulty scoring goals with Al ittihad.
So, if we look at Al Nassr progress, we can see that they have experienced a significant setback in their performance because the two matches they have played have ended in defeat. However, if you look at the statistics of their game, of course they are playing quite well, but they have had difficulties scoring goals in the last two matches which made them waste so many golden opportunities to score goals.
The performance from Al Ittihad was better in this match and they were definitely deserving winners of this match. I did not give any chance to their opponent at the start of the match. But when I saw that the deadlock was still not broken in the first half, I thought if there is a chance that this match might actually end in a draw. But obviously, that did not happen.
Al Nassr has definitely started pretty bad in this season. The only reason why they are not in the relegation zone is because they have a better goal difference. They have scored only once in two matches. So they will have to improve their performance pretty quickly. I also think that they are relying too much on Cristiano Ronaldo. They should understand that even though he definitely was the best player in the world, he is old and his knees cannot take this anymore.
