These two players have a central role in the strategy that Pep implements with his system. that's why, these two players have very good chemistry. but recently, Pep has developed another strategy IMO. now, every player is more involved when it comes to scoring goals, City is not just relying on Haaland and De Bruyne. we can even refer to the crucial match in the champions league last season, how City faced strong teams like against Madrid and Bayern.
Last season, Real Madrid qualified for the Champions League final after winning against tough opposition. The team they faced in the final match was relatively weak compared to the two teams they defeated in the semi-final and quarter-final to book their place in the final. Although Inter Milan are not as tough opponents as Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, Manchester City had a hard time winning the final match. At one time Inter Milan's performance looked like Manchester City might lose the final match but in the end Manchester City won by one goal against Inter Milan. Kevin De Bruyne's absence in the final was well understood by Manchester City. Had Kevin De Bruyne been fit and playing full time for Manchester City, I believe Manchester City would not have had such a hard time winning the match against Inter Milan.
