But the point is that Al Hilal spent a huge amount of money on Neymar and he is going to miss the initial phase of this season of the Saudi Professional League. It can happen to anyone, given the increased workload athletes have to deal with these days. On top of that, Neymar is no longer young. He is already 31 years of age.
Al Hilal are well aware that Neymar was injured before they decided to sign him. They should be aware that they were not buying a perfect player after Man City, Chelsea, Bayern, and Real Madrid, deliberately turned down the opportunity to sign him. The striker should enjoy his fat pay and the club should build on the reputation and experience Neymar will bring to the team.
In the long term, Neymar is a big hope for Al Hilal to be able to dominate all Saudi football competitions, but in the near future, Al Hilal cannot hope too much for Neymar, who is in a bad condition due to injury.
