Some time ago, Manchester City has tried to find a replacement for KDB, but it seems that the agreement that was planned to bring Lucas Paqueta to the Etihad stadium has officially ended. Until now, Pep Guardiola is still quite confused about the midfield options available and considering that KDB was absent for a long time due to the injury, Guardiola had to rotate his players within a certain time.

If we look at domestic league matches, KDB's position is currently filled by Julian Alvarez or Phil Foden but still they end up being less productive due to the absence of creative midfielders like KDB. I am also very curious whether Manchester City will continue to maintain its current options for the Champions League competition? Because we know this competition is more difficult and the competition in it brings together all the strong teams in Europe.

For Guardiola, the Champions League has always been a priority tournament, they have won the Premier League many times, but winning the Champions League is something special for any team. Guardiola is a maximalist and I'm sure he will try to win the Champions League and the Premier League, with or without De Bruyne. Although I agree that De Bruyne has become a very important player in Guardiola's scheme.
