Luis Enrique didn't have a good line-up in his first two matches in Ligue 1. PSG lost Messi, Neymar and Mbappe in the first game, while Mbappe and Dembele weren't really able to make much of a difference in the second game. PSG failed to win in these two matches because they lacked many things. PSG need creative midfielders, while they also need better defenders.
So far I don't understand why PSG prefer to sign strikers instead of midfielders. Even if they have a good midfielder then their game will get better throughout the season. PSG must bring in midfielders of the caliber of Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne or Ilkay Gundogan, Kroos and Modric, but so far they have not met that criteria from their midfielders.
Luis Enrique is having problems in the defensive position because some of the defenders he has are currently injured, and vice versa regarding the midfield position because no one has been able to play above the average ability he needs, this is what makes PSG's attack and defense not so strong and good. Mbappe and Dembele also won't be able to do much if their front line is not energetic and unable to provide measurable mature passes because usually attacks are built through the movements of midfielders.
The midfield combination is also not very solid and I think it needs adaptation to Luis Enrique's coaching style for PSG players, because if this is seen this coach relies more on strength in hold the ball and he also often applies short ball games foot. Of course this style of play requires an energetic midfielder who can keep rhythm in midfield and I haven't seen a PSG midfielder who has that ability now.
