The main problem is that Inter offers 27+3 million euros, and Bayern would like to get 45-50 million euros for a football player. At least, when Manchester United offered 29 million for the player, Bayern refused, and now, after the failed sale of Maguire to West Ham, Manchester United has stopped negotiations to buy the player. Therefore, Inter is now the main contender for the player and Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta openly says that Pavard wants to join Inter. The whole question is about the price per player, because I'm not sure that the current Inter is able to pay 45-50 million per player.
I don't think Inter is in a position to pay 50 million Euros. Pavard is a very good player and he will make great contributions to Inter, but this transfer can happen if Bayern Munich accepts Inter's offer. Bayern may not say yes to a low testimonial. Let's see what is going to happen.
We don't really know how much a team has until they make the move. They may look like they do not have the money for it, but the reality is that we are talking about something that is a bit different on the long end of it. I think it should be quite important to get it done and we need to hopefully do a better job.
I get that it is not going to be that easy, and we should be considering it getting any closer in the end but Pavard is a player that is worth it. If not, United is right there, Bayern could just knock on their door and ask for 50 million, I am sure that Glazers will hate to pay that much and would like to haggle, but they can certainly afford it and we know that. They also need a good defender like him.
