We have gone through that argument many times: A vote without free international observers, under recent military occupation, with testimonies of people being "persuaded" with little green men with guns is a joke. I do get that you may have a cynic vision of people's choice, my guess is that nobody ever asked you what would you like to do with your government and if they ever did you would probably pee your pants.
Already next year, Zelensky will have to show the whole world how to properly conduct free democratic elections in wartime. 
I fail to see the joke. Elections have happened quite a few times in wartime across many countries, across several history times. If you are interested, it is very rare than a democratic government changes during wartime - this is just statistical.
@BA, could you provide any evidence of "so much Ukrainian equipment captured"? But I guess is not that difficult given that you are so used to Trumps style arguments that saying "so much" could mean virtually 1 to 1000 pieces. All you need to add to sound really Trumpian is "like the world has never seen before" or "bigger than anything seen before" or "so massive that I do not even need to show it". Give it a try! It is easy!
