That completely depends on how you choose to define the word "spent" in the first place. When is a thing truly spent? Is it when you have traded it in for something of equal or greater value? Perhaps it is spend regardless of the return value of the thing you traded it in for? How about if you gambled it away with bad trading practices? Is that considered spent?
