But hey this is Chelsea and don't get too weird about it because we've also seen absurd transfers from Mudryk before so why feel weird when they dare to pay a high price for Cole Palmer

He is indeed still one of the pretty good young players for Manchester City especially when he became the winner in the European Super Cup which made his name a little glimpsed.
The deal happened very quickly and it seems that Chelsea did not want to waste time in the remaining time they have at this time especially since the transfer season will be closed in a few days so that even this big offer was immediately agreed by Chelsea.
Sometimes transfer fee depends on the existing contract between the player and the club and to permanently purchase the player you will have to pay to cover up for the number of years remaining in the players contract. Palmer maybe underrated because of lack of enough playing time, you don’t expect him to have playing time with Mahrez, Bernado and Grealish all playing same position with him. He is good and the quality is there but he needs to be in a team where he will have more playing time so he can show the world what he is capable of doing. In my opinion I don’t think the price is too high because he is young and he plays in a big team. Chelsea are currently investing in young players which is a good thing and despite paying high transfer fee they always make sure the players sign for a long period, most of the players signed 8 year’s contracts which in my opinion is a good business.
Chelsea had a reason to buy him with such price. In fact, the club really needs a new centre forward at this moment. Jackson is not enough caused by his teammates were injured. Broja has not yet recovered from his injury. I can even understand the main reason why chelsea was signing him. he is far better rather than signing balogun from arsenal. I really support him to go to the chelsea. he will pay off his price.
I know Palmer can play anywhere in attacks but I think he will be best suited to play as a winger rather than a center forward. He score goals and he is a decent attacker and he can actually be used as an alternative for Jackson and Broja. If not for the injury crisis happening in the team currently I don’t think they would have signed any more player but with a lot of players out injured it will be better to have alternatives.
Does Manchester United need to watch the performance of Cucurella before they will know his capabilities and deficiencies?
We have been together in this England and every true football lover will attest that the best of Cucurella was in Brighton.
Cucurella has been a shadow of himself in Chelsea since he arrived under Graham Potter.
I sincerely believe that Manchester United scout needs to be questioned.
Their business for the past 4 seasons in the transfer window has been totally unprofitable.
I was disappointed when i heard Manchester United have shown interest to sign Cucurella but i was happy as a chelsea fan because i know abilities of this player and for a rival team to sign him it will be a win win for us. I wanted the deal to happen fast because i don’t like the fact that i will be seeing him in my team for the rest of the season. He has failed to impress since joining chelsea and the fact that we pay a huge sum to get him was what I don’t like. I am disappointed in Manchester United’s scout, is it that they don’t watch him when he plays or maybe they still think he is still the same Cucurella they know in Brighton. Chelsea coach shouldn’t have played him yesterday so they wouldn’t have seen his play and we could have succeeded in offloading him to United.
