PIF Investing in the football industry by bringing in more European star players seems like a very smart move. Because yes, we ourselves can see how the popularity of the Arab League is now starting to increase very rapidly. And of course this will bring quite large profits for the Arab League and also for the PIF.
In the past, not many Europeans even watched Arab football. But now that CR7 has joined the Arab club (Al-nassr), I'm pretty sure that since then many Europeans have also watched Arab league football. And this season the clubs in the SPL competition brought in more European football stars. So that the popularity of SPL is getting higher. And no doubt next season it will be even more popular.
To be honest I don't believe these clubs are getting back their investment because the expenses are not commensurate with the income, apart from transfer fees they also have to pay players' salaries every week and we know that the average salary of European players in the Saudi Pro League is around 20 million per season so we can calculate that it will be difficult to get profits for the club. If so, it means that PIF has other plans that we don't know, what's the point of making the League famous but not getting anything.
I agree but now from here you have to understand few ground realities as well that they are not investing for the quick return of their investment they are doing this all for the long run with have many other things in mind as well which will help them for having good positive change into this region and it's culture which is need of the time as well PIF is having good strategy with Saudi owning few clubs which they can sell after few years, and they are also having few good investments in UEFA clubs as well which are going to give them good return as well for their investments.
Currently, they are setting foundation of the new era in this region which will bring good and big revolutionary changes in this country and all gulf region as well.
