Not only shy, the team is a bad one to say the least. While the pattern of play has improved to some extents; the team is still disjointed and cannot perform consistently together for long spells. A deserved victory for Nottingham forest, and a terrible result for Chelsea who has just 6 wins in over 40 games. Who will solve the dilemna at the football club? a new manager ?
It is very sad because the new manager is also unable to solve the dilemma that exists at the Chelsea club this season after having performed poorly last season. For me, Chelsea's defeat at home was a very embarrassing defeat because considering that the opponent who beat them was also not a very strong team this season, but I also did not expect that it turned out that Chelsea itself was worse than their opponent today.
Concerns began to emerge over Pochettino performance after only being able to win one win in four games. Initially it was hoped that he could improve Chelsea performance, but he failed to meet the expectations of Chelsea management and it was still difficult to win even though several quality players had been brought in. Chelsea played very badly, like a small team that had just been promoted to the EPL, their game had no direction, they still had difficulty building connections between their players.
I think Pochettino future with Chelsea will not last long if Chelsea performance is still bad. When a team has made major changes but is still having difficulty winning, then the coach's performance needs to be questioned, whether he is able to formulate a good strategy or not.
It's normal for concern to start mounting as it's the fourth match this season, the greenlight should have been seen by now if he would deliver indeed. As much as I would still like to wait for at least 10 matches, Pochettino has disappointed so far to the point of letting people forget their single victory so far. My main observation is that the last issues faced by the Chelsea team might still be there with what I watched yesterday, the team are not connecting, should we call that a lack of morale? One win in four matches with a club that much was spent is uncalled for, and it could have been worse if Nottm Forest had a better striker that could have worsened the middle and defence of the Blues.
It's obvious that Chealse's defence is not as good as people might think as well, it would have been worse with a stronger club like Man City. Their strikers seemed powerless and could not even deliver serious goal attempts throughout the match. It's indeed worrisome.
