Any reasons, Server glitches or DDOS attack 
Could be either, could also be due to an update on the server. To be certain what caused the downtime, the admin will have to reply and give us a hint.- Jay -
Server updates only cause a few minutes downtime like 5 minutes. Unless it is Windows.

System is updating, wait forever, do not turn of pc.
