I call those people gifted and passionate. When they succeed in a particular field, "addiction" will no longer suit them. For example, we often gamble, and people say we are addicted. But still gambling regularly and adding winning titles and prizes in gambling competitions, the words to describe us would be completely different.
Another more realistic example. If you gamble, the win will be yours. Then your wife will say you're great. Conversely, if you always lose, your wife will call you an addict.
I like your realistic thinking which means its all about money even wife would also say professional gamblers are not addicts when it comes to big wins.
a gambling addict who has other talents such as developing a business or even developing his gambling talent to take part in gambling competitions to win prizes so that this talent will cover his addiction. but I would agree more if this addict has a healthy mind even though it is very difficult but if the will is big they will definitely be able to get through it, such as opening any business to get bigger results than in gambling.
