Barcelona are not in their best form and their striker Lewandowski still have troubles in early matches. He has yet warmed up enough but we must know that in this season, Lewandowski is one more year older than the past one. Barcelona and Xavi will have to prepare for decreasing performance of Lewandowski in this season or next one or two seasons.
Yes, you are right, last month he was 35 years old, actually that's not old, he's still relatively young, but at that age his performance usually declines, that's why Madrid bought a lot of young players because as we know, there is a golden age where great players have to retire or earn money in the Arab league, giving quota to young players to exist in the European league.

I think Xavi is also thinking about this, that of course there is nothing Lewandowski can hope for this season because looking at last night's match he only contributed goals from penalty kicks and was not productive in scoring goals for Barcelona last night, but apart from that Xavi is still satisfied with the results Barcelona were able to get three points from this game and strengthen their position in Laliga as well.

Come on really 35 years old is still relatively young? I am sure that I could bombard this with statistics discussing performance-age correlations, but I don't think that is necessary as everyone knows that a 35 years old striker is not as good as a 28 years old striker in 95% of the time. There are a few exceptions, but even Ronaldo or actually any other world class striker was at its best when they were significantly younger than 35. Benzema did ver well at quite a high age and Ibrahimovic as well, and yet they wouldn't claim they were better than at age 30 or younger than that. Benzema is one exception as I said.
