There are rumors that Sergio Ramos could transfer to Sevilla. The 37-year-old Sergio Ramos' name was mentioned in transfer rumors with Galatasaray and Al-Ittihad, but no deal materialized during the transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, he will sign for Sevilla. If this news is true, he will return to Sevilla after 18 years. I think Sevilla would be a good transfer for him. Coming back to the team where his star shone after 18 years could help him create a good story.
Sergio Ramos is on a free transfer at the moment and even so I'm not sure Sevilla will be willing to pay his high salary any more than Besiktas are backtracking in their pursuit of his signature because Sergio Ramos is asking for a high salary. Besiktas' unstable financial condition made it impossible for them to recruit Sergio Ramos because they were unable to provide the salary he wanted. If I'm not mistaken, free agent players can still be recruited even though the transfer market has closed and this condition makes Sergio Ramos not too worried about where he will play this season.
If several European clubs cannot afford to pay salaries that are too large then the Saudi Arabian League can make it happen, but rumors about Sergio Ramos are not very widespread in this League even though several clubs there have also expressed interest. Maybe in the next few weeks we will hear more about Sergio Ramos and I believe he is more likely to move to Saudi Arabia than Sevilla.
If you look at Fabrizio Romano tweet, it seems that a true verbal agreement has been reached, which means it could be that Ramos has agreed on the amount of salary he will receive. However, on the other hand, I don't know for sure why Ramos is reluctant to join the Saudi Pro Legue. In my estimation, Al Ittihad does not want to give the amount of salary that Ramos wants, in the sense that he is not unable to.
Or another possibility is that Ramos will go to the SPL in the following season, after defending Sevilla for one season first. It is difficult to predict because Ramos has free transfer status, he can go to any club without transfer restrictions.
It's Sergio Ramos dream that before he retired Ramos want to play at Sevilla once again because at this team he was build his career so he has decide to reject Al Ittihad offers which is this team want to contract him for 2 years and about the salary amount i am sure salary amount from Al Ittihad will much bigger than Sevilla but he doesn't want to thinking about it because currently Ramos priority is he want to joining Sevilla but it wasn't mentioned contract duration for Ramos but possibly he will joined for one season only and Sevilla still struggle to find their shape and at Laliga this team still unable to gets the winning results and maybe with the arrival of Ramos he can help this team to performing well again and besides that before transfer ended Luis Mendilibar was asking to buy one centre defender and apparently Ramos can be suitable for that position
