Barselona almost drew the match but the penalty shootout was a huge opportunity for them as the match was 1-1 until the 84th minute. Barcelona won today's match and got total 10 points and on the other hand Girona is in 2nd position with 10 points and Real Madrid is in 1st position with 12 points. Barcelona will be in position to overtake Girona if they win their next match. And then Real Madrid will be their only rival

Barcelona still hasn't shown a convincing performance, the victory this time was quite helped because of the penalty prize, and fortunately, Lewandowski managed to execute the penalty well, the previous match they also almost lost to Villareal because they were behind by the home team, and it looks like they are having quite a problem in the away game because from 3 away matches they have had difficulties if Xavi Hernandez hard to finds their weak points and fixes them immediately then Real Madrid will be very comfortable staying at the top.

Seeing that Girona has not been defeated in the 4 matches they have played is quite surprising, last season Girona was not too special and managed to finish in 10th place, and in the future many things could happen including Girona losing and the top four will be filled by teams that are indeed used to being in that position, unless Girona is able to maintain their appearance well to continue to get good results.

I think it was not luck that they won,they dominated the game and different from the Villareal game in this game they played much better compared to Osasuna.It would have been devastating if they didn't win yesterday night with penalty or not,the fact that they kept attacking it means that they are in the good way toward their title protecting this year,Real barely managed to win against Getafe and that is the team which has not been doing that well in game play despite the results show otherwise for them,for me Barcelona is much better and over the long run will be better.
